Hi, I'm Dave and I'm the Students’ Union General Manager. My role is to provide strategic development, operational planning and the day to day management of the SU. I'll be working with the Executive to ensure the SU is operating to support your best interests and helping to enhance your student experience. I also directly manage the SU commercial functions being in overall charge of the SU Staff team. I’m Cat, I'm a mature student in fourth year BVetMed.  I have been managing the SU Shop for the past two years. Prior to that, I ran the Shop in Camden. I liaise with the College, negotiate with suppliers, and communicate with students to ensure that everybody is supplied with essential equipment at as low a cost as possible. I also, manage the Shop website. I have a team of staff at both campuses to ensure orders are packed and delivered to students as quickly as possible. We are all students and are happy to advise you based on our own experiences.

Minibus Manager – Sam Price

Hi. I’m Sam, the SU minibus manager. I deal with booking out the minibuses for clubs, societies and individuals within the RVC. We have 2 brand new fancy minibuses for use now, so if your club is looking for transport to an away match for example or even if you wanted to go to a theme park with a bunch of mates, the buses are available to you. Please see the minibus webpage for further information on how to go about booking one out.

 

Sports Administrator - Charlie Mays

Job Role: to ensure the smooth running of the sports teams and sports facilities here at the RVC.

I am BUCS and LUSL coordinator for all our competitive teams and deal with anything from fixture rearrangements, result appeals, complaints to organising referees/umpires.

I also manage the MUGA (Multi-Use-Games-Area) and take bookings from Clubs (internally and externally) and also individuals not part of clubs/societies.

I am also involved in working with the Estates department for the booking and availability of the pitches and Pavilion at HH campus.

I also take care of the Gym Inductions at both sites (CT and HH)and report any issues to estates/ maintenance to be repaired.

**((Finally, I help with the organisation and delivery of Active Students classes at HH and CT - not sure if this comes under this role or if its just separate to me!))**

 

Buttery Manager - Fran Gambuzzi

Hi, I am Fran and I am The Buttery bar manager. I am responsible for a team of student staff members who make the Buttery a great spot to let your hair down after a long day and a wonderful place to earn a bit of extra spending money. I manage and promote events either run by ourselves or other clubs and societies, and ensure that we trial then run new product lines as requested by students.

Overall my aim is to keep the bar running smoothly, making sure it’s a fun and safe place for all students and staff. Please pop down for a drink and a chat any time.
